Ruth A. (Sylvester) Gaboriault, 79, died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at home surrounded by family. She was the wife of the late Lloyd A. Gaboriault and daughter of the late Ruth E. (Diggins) and Frederick B. Sylvester.
Ruth graduated with honors from Holten High School in 1951 and attended Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, NH.
After college, Ruth was employed by the former Beverly Savings Bank and the Emergency Physicians Association at Salem Hospital. She retired after 39 years of employment at Morgan-McPherson Insurance Agency in Beverly.
Ruth enjoyed traveling with Lloyd, visiting, vacationing, and being involved with their extended families and friends.
She is survived by her sisters, Dorothea Knowlton of Beverly and Eleanor Bovio of Lovell, ME, her stepchildren, L. Bruce Gaboriault and his wife Janice of Topsfield, Jean Gaboriault and Sandra Hayes of So. Portland, ME, and Paul Gaboriault and his wife Sharmy of Carson City, NV. She was predeceased by her brother Frederick A. Sylvester, her sisters Theodora “Dody” O’Connor and Lorraine M. Levesque, and her stepson Norman Gaboriault.
She was a devoted aunt to her many nieces, nephews, and their families both locally and across the country, including Christine (Ludden) Morse and her family of Danvers.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Apr. 15, 2013 at 9AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. As requested there are no visiting hours.
