Etelvina (Arruda) Farias, age 96, passed away April 10, 2013. She was the widow of Manuel Bernardo Farias and daughter of the late José and Francisca (Machado) Arruda. She was born in Fall River, moved to the Açores at age 7 and returned to Fall River in 1955. She retired as a hand sewer at Darwood Mfg., was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Mrs. Farias was the mother of Miguel A. Farias (wife Mary Jo) of Fall River, Felismina Warren (husband Edward) of Yulee FL, Maria Lamera (husband Rafael) and Belmira Sa (husband Gregory), all of Fall River and the late Belmira Farias. She was the sister of the late Henrique, José, Arthur, Leonard and Belmira Arruda. She leaves 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 9:00 A.M.
