Dr. Jerome A. Follmar, 83, of Anderson died at his residence, surrounded by his family, April 11, 2013 following an extended illness.
He served in the US Army during Korea.
He was born December 19, 1929 in South Bend, IN to Marie B. Follmar.
He was a doctor of Dentistry from 1956 until retiring June 30, 2001.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson; ADA and IDA. and a life member of IU Alumni Club, St. John's Children's Clinic.
Survivors include his wife Jackie Follmar of Anderson whom he married December 11, 1971 in Speedway, IN; thirteen children, Fred (Celia) Follmar of Whitestown, IN; Nancy (Dean) Nowling of Avon, IN; Allison McKnight (fiancé Brian Sullivan) of Anderson; Jerome (Julie) Follmar II of Corpus Christi, TX; Amy (Peter) Kaminski of Danville, IN; Jack (Kristen) Follmar of Anderson; Joe (Nikki) Follmar of Lebanon, IN; Jim (Amanda) Follmar of Lapel, IN; Jake (Cassie) Follmar of Anderson; Amanda Follmar (Jason Causbie) of Anderson; Jon (Kayleigh) Follmar of Anderson; Jeff Follmar of Anderson and Jordan Follmar of Anderson; forty-two grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother and sister-in-law Ken and Penny Follmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 PM on Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 14 from 2 PM until 6 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's School Scholarship fund.
