Obituary

Worcester – Alexis “Jack” J. Laplume Jr., 68, of Worcester, died on Wednesday, April 10th in the Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after complications of dementia.

Mr. Laplume is survived by his wife, Christine C. (Spencer) Laplume; his two daughters, Michelle Ducharme and her husband Mark and Danielle Gleason and her husband Ron all of Auburn; three sisters, Rose Hudson, Geraldine Stuart and Susan Miller all of Worcester, 4 grandchildren, Alesia Gleason, Jessica Gleason, Tyler Ducharme and Hannah Ducharme; 2 great grandchildren, Declan and Emma and many nephews and nieces.

Jack was born in Worcester, son of Alexis and Emma (Rosetti) Laplume and is predeceased by 3 sisters, Jeannette Burns, Shirley Denio and Carol Ruttencutter.

Mr. Laplume worked as a machine operator for many years at Worcester Wire Company and also for Transister Devices. Jack enjoyed many things in his lifetime, however his two favorite things were, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and watching his favorite sports team, the New England Patriots.

The funeral will be held on Monday, April 15th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 11 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Monday, from 9 to 10 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
