Obituary

Marjorie S. Dykstra, 62, of Londonderry, NH died Sunday August 1, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. Mrs. Dykstra was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on January 9, 1942 a daughter of the late Carroll and Ruby (Hite) Brown. She had lived in Londonderry for the past 34 years. Mrs. Dyskstra was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was currently employed as a real estate broker for Carlson GMAC in Londonderry. She was a member of Dollars for Scholars for 19 years and was on its National Honor Roll. In 1994 she was voted Volunteer of the Year by the Londonderry Chamber of Commerce and was named Citizen of the Year by the Chamber in 1995. She served as chairman of the Londonderry Old Home Day Parade for many years. Mrs. Dykstra was also a member and elder of the Londonderry Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roger E. Dykstra of Londonderry, two sons, Mark E. Dykstra and his wife Laura of Lebanon, NH, Trey A. Dykstra and his wife Amy of Henniker, NH, two grandchildren, Beau Dykstra and Garrett Dykstra both of Lebanon, one brother, Gregg Brown of Aledo, TX, one sister, Jeanne Ellis of Des Moine, Iowa, also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 6th at 10:00am in the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and Pillsbury Rd., Londonderry. Burial will be in the New Pinkerton Cemetery, Londonderry. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Londonderry Dollars for Scholars, Marjorie Dykstra Memorial, C/O William Manning, 25 Wedgewood Dr., Londonderry, NH 03053.
