Augusta, GA---Ms. Evelyn Snyder, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her residence.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Russ officiating. Inurnment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Ms. Snyder was a native of Berlin, Germany, but had been a resident of Augusta, GA for more than 40 years. She was a former resident of St. John Towers, where she was the treasurer of the St. John Towers Committee, a sales person at the St. John Towers Country Store, was a member of the Food Committee and the Entertainment Committee. She was also a former contestant in the St. John Towers Beauty Pageant. Ms. Snyder was a loving mother and she loved the Lord.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Christine Snyder Wilson and Robert D. Wilson, Jr. of Augusta, GA, two sons, Charles Steven Snyder of Augusta, GA and David Michael Snyder of Eustis, FL, brother, Wolfgang Knaack and sister, Hildegard Lampe, both of Berlin, Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
