Obituary

Geln Alan Wolfe, 70, died on April 1, 2013. He resided in Ventura CA from 1969 until his death from complications of Parkinson's Disease.

Glen's parents were Arnold and Lauriel Wolfe. Born in Denver, Colorado on June 1942 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona a few years later. he loved chemistry beginning with experiments in the garage as a child. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He moved to Ventura in 1969 where he began teaching Chemistry at Ventura College for the Ventura County Community College District. He retired in 2005.

He believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted him into his heart and life at an early age and served Him faithfully the rest of his life.
Glen was the faculty adviser for the Christian Intervarsity Club at Ventura College for many years. He founded a Christian Singles Group in Ventura County through which he made many friends. Glen enjoyed mountains and parks throughout Ventura County. He hiked regularly leading friends and family to beautiful places to enjoy God's cremation. He took his wife and kids regularly to Rose Falls camping and hiking.

He married Linda Simonson, who became Linda Wolfe in 1984. Their children, David and Christie, completed their family. Raising children became the most challenging and rewarding endeavor he and Linda had ever experienced. His love for his wife and children and their love for him became the joy of his life. Companionship with them continued until the very last breath he took this past Wednesday morning.

Survivors included: His wife, Linda. His son, David and daughter, Christie. His sister and brother-in-law Karen and John Hall. His three nieces are Heather Simonson Ramirez, Kate Simonson and Betsey Hall. His great nieces and nephews are Rodney, Avian, Ayla and Keira as well as his great niece Katarina. he has many beloved cousins and grew up with them vacationing regularly into adulthood: Don and Judy Larson, David and Joanie Larson, and Stan and Ketty Larson, Coleen and Terry Dalton, Kathleen Wipprect, Eileen and Larry Coler and of their children. Other survivors include many beloved cousins. He is also survived by his friend of over 40 years, Don Buford. They enjoyed exploring the world of electronics, computer technology and nature together.

Services will be held under the direction of Rev. Mark Corbin Smith at 11AM Saturday April 13, 2013 with a reception at Noon at Trinity Community Church 3645 Telegraph Road, Ventura. There will be a graveside service at 2PM at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park following. Viewing at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home 757 Main Street Ventura from 4 to 7PM on Friday April 12th. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Community Church Children's Fund.
