Obituary

WEBSTER – Leocadia S. ”Loda” (Noga) Lewandowski, 87, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 in Webster Manor. Her husband of 47 years, Edward J. Lewandowski, died in 1995.
She leaves a son, Michael E. Lewandowski and his wife Edwina of Somerset, ; 2 grandchildren, Scott Lewandowski of San Antonio, TX and Brian Lewandowski and his wife Rebecca of New Kensington, PA; 3 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Cameron; 1 sister, Jeannette Curboy of Sturbridge; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frederick, Alex and Emile Noga. Another sister, Helen Wojciechowski, died April 9.
She was born and raised in Southbridge, the daughter of William and Josephine (Olearczyk) Noga. She attended Mary E. Wells High School. She moved to Webster in 1947 when she married.
Mrs. Lewandowski was a machine operator at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 33 years before she retired in 1987.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Holy Rosary Sodality, Sacred Heart Society and Saint Anne Society. She was also a member of the AO Quarter Century Club and the AARP.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 13, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, April 12, in the funeral home.
