KLEPONIS, MARY E. of So. Boston died on April 7, 2013. She was 98 years young. Mary is predeceased by her parents Peter and Elizabeth, her sister Joan and brother Albert. She was a 1931 graduate of Girls High School, Boston where she enjoyed her passion for playing basketball. Mary volunteered at the Propagation of Faith, Boston for many years. She was also a member of the Knights of Lithuania Council 17 and St. Peter Ladies Sodality.
Mary is survived by her brother Vincent and his wife Anna, her sisters Ann and Sr. Christine Kleponis, CJC, Frances Zinka ,Virginia Laufer and many nieces and nephews as well as their children. Visiting Hours at The Casper Funeral Home 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston Friday from 4-8 P.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Peter Lithuanian Church Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.
