In Brockton, April 6, 2013 Robert L. Hill, age 81 passed away in Brockton Hospital following a brief illness. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Carole (Plante) Hill of Raynham where they have resided since 1956. He was born in Dighton, the son of the late Ralph & Hazel (White) Hill. Robert attended Taunton schools and a graduate of Taunton High School. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Robert was employed at AT&T until his retirement. Robert enjoyed gardening, golf, bowling, camping, woodworking and cards and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Besides his wife Carol, Robert leaves his children Donna Lorimer of Taunton, Cynthia Thompson of East Taunton, Jeanie Stark & her husband Carl of Hagerstown, Maryland, Alison Hill of Marshfield, Linda Meagher & husband Joseph of Raynham and Robert L. Hill Jr. of Chelsea. His siblings Ralph Hill of Vero Beach, FL., David Hill of Columbia, SC and Elaine Quigley of Vero Beach, FL. He also leaves his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral home visiting hours will be at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, April 12th from 5-7pm. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 12 pm. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
