FAIRHAVEN — Marguerite Theresa "Terry" Taylor, 81, of Marion, passed away on April 3, 2013, at Alden Court Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (Clark) Parker. She resided in New Bedford for 42 years and most recently in Marion for the past two years. She was the sister of her late brother Joseph Parker.
Terry is survived by her beloved husband, Rodman Elliot Taylor; her sons, Stephen M. Taylor, Joseph M. Taylor; and her daughters, Ellen M. LaChance and Patricia M. Taylor; 9 grandchildren (Lindsay Shamoian, Ian Donaghy, Jessica Thomas, Damian Taylor, Eleanor Taylor, Zachary Taylor, Lindsay Taylor, Melissa Taylor and Annie Taylor; and 4 great-grandchildren (Avery, Isabell, Joshua and Josslyn.)
Terry was a devoted member of the Marion Congregational Church for the past 30 years. Her contributions to the church included; working at Penny Pinchers, member of the deacons, collector, bookkeeping, assistant treasurer, she also served as chair person of the Christian Educational Committee and enjoyed being a Sunday School teacher.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Marion Congregational Church, 28 Main Street., Marion, MA. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 2:00 pm.
