In Taunton, April 6, 2013 Joseph A. Kuper, age 62 passed away in Morton Hospital following a eight month long battle with throat cancer. Joseph leaves his loving wife Anne (McKenna) Kuper of 40 years. Joseph was born in Covington, Kentucky, the son of the late Orval & Joanne (Keller) Kuper-Barth. He has resided in Taunton since 1973. Joseph served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a maintenance man for the City of Taunton and prior to that worked for Marian Manor, Copper Craft Guild and Taunton Engineering. Joseph was a member of the Italian Social Club, he enjoyed fishing, photography, gardening, reading American history, playing bocce at the Italian Club and his pets. Besides his wife Anne, Joseph also leaves his siblings Nancy Waggoner, Sally Kowalski, Mary Alice Kuper and Paul Kuper and sister-in-law Mary Lima. Joseph also leaves several nieces and nephews and many close friends. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Friday, April 12th at 8 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 9 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-8pm. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in East Taunton.
