Betty Jane Crawford Hartman, 91, of Tifton died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Orlando, Florida with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Orlando, Florida.
Mrs. Hartman was born on March 22, 1922 in McGran, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Thomas Franklin Crawford and Laura Patterson Crawford, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Hartman; one daughter, Bonnie L. Norris; and one brother, Thomas Crawford. She was a retired housekeeper at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania and she was a member of Tifton’s First Baptist Church. She had lived in Tifton for the past six years.
Mrs. Hartman is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Debra Hartman of Pennsylvania; one daughter, Mary Powers of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, who was also her loving care-giver, Kristie L. Teel of Tifton, Wayne Norris, Angel Hartman, Michael Smulick, Thom Hartman, Jennifer Bellas, Shannon Hartman, Aaron Vallies, James Vallies and Melissa Rushing; numerous great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Calvin W. Norris of Tifton.
