Obituary

Mr. Noah E. Holton, Jr., age 92, of Lake Wales, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1921 in Axson, Atkinson County, Georgia to the late Senator Noah E Holton, SR and Rilza Tanner Holton. He attended Coffee County Schools, South Georgia College, Georgetown University, graduated from the University of Georgia, the University of Georgia College of Law, and the New York University Law School with a Master's in Taxation. In 1949 he was admitted to the Georgia Bar. He served in the U. S. Army Corps during WW II as a navigator on the flight crew for the Army Judge Advocate Corps serving Chief Justice Robert H Jackson during the Nuremberg Nazi War Crime Trials. He maintained a love of aviation his entire life. He was employed with the Ernst & Ernst Accounting Firm of Atlanta and moved to Florida in 1954 to be a partner with his uncle R.O.Holton in the Holton Insurance Agency in Winter Haven. He and his family moved to Lake Wales in 1969 and along with his wife Louise owned the Noah's Ark Bed and Breakfast and othe local business. He was a lifelong Methodist by faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-seven years Louise Park Holton, daughters Lynn Holton McMahon of Summitt, New Jersey and Lori Holton Loveless and her husband Chuck of Lake Wales, Florida. Three grandchildren
Ellen Louise McMahon, Shelby Lynn Loveless, and James Tanner McMahon. He was affectionately called "Honey" by his three grandchildren, who will cherish the memories of his teasing nature, trips to AirVenture in Wisconsin, and deep love of each of them.

He was preeded in death by his siblings B.H. Byrd, Myrtle Wilson, Johnnie Wilson, Dr. Francis Holton, Maggie Ruth Slade, the Honorable Eli Holton and Phylis Dixon.

A graveside service will be Monday, April 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Douglas Cemetery in Douglas, Georgia with Rev. Gregory Pope officiating.
