Benvinda "Bena" (Gomes) Rousseau, 64, of New Bedford died Sunday March 31, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Julio and Elizabeth (Baptiste) Gomes, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a member of the International Church of the Nazarene.
Bena was formerly employed as an assembler at the Opportunity Center in New Bedford.
Survivors include a son, Robert; her siblings, John Gomes, Nadine Gomes, Tonette Neves, Linda Page, Renee Centeio, Avis Gomes, Lisa Medina, and Ericka Gomes; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Leonard, Raymond, and Julio Gomes, Jr.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with visitation prior from 11AM - 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
