Sybil Thompson Wheat
December 18, 1923 to April 3, 2013

Sybil Norelia Thompson, 89 of Dublin, Ohio, died April 3, 2013 at Sunrise of Worthington, OH.

Sybil was born on December 18, 1923 in Anderson, Indiana to Thomas and Mary (Brown) Thompson and resided in Anderson, Indiana for 83 years.

She was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Anderson

During her senior year at Anderson High School she moved to Washington DC to work in a secretarial pool for the war effort. Upon returning to Anderson, she worked in the Trust Dept at Anderson Banking Company, the accounting office of Chastain, Dew, and Thomas, and was the school secretary at East Side Middle School before retiring.

She is survived by her sons, James Wheat of Anderson, Michael (Deborah) Wheat of Fayetteville, GA, and William (Ann) Wheat of Dublin, OH; grandchildren: Gregory (Amy) Wheat, Nathan (Nealy) Wheat, Sarah (Warren) Hartley, Allison (Patrick) Cooke, Matthew Wheat, Megan Wheat, and Ben (Jillian) Wheat; great grandchildren: Logan and Ariana Wheat, Aidan and Eleanor Hartley, Connor and Emma Wheat; brother-in-law: Vernell Nixon of Wheaton, IL; sisters-in-law: Doris Thompson of Anderson, Pauline Thompson of Goshen, and Patricia Thompson of Pensacola FL; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Byford Thompson, Raymond Thompson and Norman Thompson, and husband of 51 years Robert E. Wheat married to Robert E. Wheat on May 9, 1948.

Funeral Service 10 A.M. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. Sunday April 7th.
