Obituary

Virginia “Jenny” Hodgson, 70, of Enigma, Georgia, went home to eternity on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, April 5, 2013, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church, Irwin County with the Elder Edward McIntyre, the Elder Pat McCoy and the Elder Jimmy Cason officiating. Interment will follow in the Frank Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Hodgson was born April 6, 1942 in Ocilla to the late Paul C.and Agatha Lee Thompson Paulk. She was a former semi-truck driver for John Christner. She loved to crochet, play the piano and plant flowers. Her favorite saying was “too blessed to be stressed”. Mrs. Hodgson was a former member of Frank Primitive Baptist Church and a member of Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter: Michelle Laliberte of Enigma; two sons: Timothy Longshore of Enigma and Andy McCloud of Jackson; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grand children and a sister: Marilyn Rutherford of Texas. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Richard Longshore; infant daughter: Janet McCloud; one brother: Bobby Paulk and one sister: Charlotte Smith. The family would like to express all their gratitude to Hospice of Tift Area and a special thank you to Bernadette Owens and Mamie Stephens for all their kindness and loving care.
