Obituary

Ruth Foster Lavigne, 64, of Nashua, New Hampshire passed away on Monday, April 1st, 2013 at the Courville Nursing Home at Nashua.

She was born on April 25th, 1948 in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Marion R. (Frederick) Foster and the late E. Rene Foster. Ruthie was educated in Saint Mary's Grammar Schools and was a graduate of Presentation of Mary High School in Methuen, MA., and received her paralegal certificate from Northeastern University.

Ruth attended Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence and later attended Saint Joseph's Church in Salem, NH, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for several years. In the 70's she served on the school board for Saint Joseph's Regional School in Salem, New Hampshire. An accomplished dancer Ruth owned and operated Ruth's School of Dance in the Salem Depot from 1968 to 1972.

As a member of the Nashua Country Club, she was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game. She also enjoyed the challenge of playing Bridge at the Nashua Senior Center. Ruth was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Her sons: Joseph and his wife Kristen Kenney of Concord, NH., and James and his wife Karen Kenney of Manchester, NH. Her grandchildren: Francesca, Alixandria, Logan, Seth, Madyn, Quinn, Patrick and Shannon, her great grandson: Liam.
Her sister Joyce and her husband Dennis Habib of Pelham, NH., and her brother William and his wife Sue Foster of Port Charlotte, FL. God Children: Lyndsey Habib and William Foster, Jr. Step children: Frederick Lavigne, Michael Lavigne and Jillian Corga. Step grandchildren: Olivia and Anna Grace Corga and Bailey and Alex Lavigne. Her aunt Barbara Frederick of Pheonix, AZ. As well as several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Courville Nursing Home and the Hospice Care of Nashua for their compassion and excellent nursing care of Ruth.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 5th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
