Ernesto V. Zezze died peacefully at home on Saturday evening in the company of his loving family. He was 83.
Ernesto was born and raised in Pietradifusi, Avellino, Italy, the son of the late Luigi and Maria Carmela Zezze. He came to the United States with his family in 1966 and settled in Somerville. He worked for many years with the painters union Local 35. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed good times with his many friends.
The beloved husband of Maria (Colarusso) Zezze, Ernesto was a devoted father to Luigi "Gino" Zezze and his wife Carmela of Falmouth, Joseph Zezze and his wife Lisa of Peabody, Maria Pierotti and her husband Joseph of Everett. He leaves his loving grandchildren: Ernest, Joseph, Henry, Nicholas, Matthew, Olivia and Aliana and was a dear brother to Vincenzo, Elio, Assuntina the late Emilio and Genovino.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday April 5th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
