Dorothy I “Pat” Ross 75, of Walker St., Holly Hill, FL died Saturday. She was the wife of the late Robert P. Ross Sr., with whom she celebrated fifty four years of marriage. Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Caudio and Loretta (Lambert) DiBasco. Dorothy was as assembler for Metra Manufacturing for many years before retiring in 2003. Pat was a loving and caring mother, and grandmother. She was a very approachable person that everyone felt comfortable with. She loved traveling, and bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her son Robert P. Ross Jr. of Ormand Beach, FL, her daughter Karen Ross and her wife Sharon of West Springfield, MA, two brothers Roland and George DiBasco both of Woonsocket, three sisters, Jeannette DiBasco of N. Providence, Gloria DiBasco, and Lillian Gelinas both of Woonsocket, four grandchildren, Ryan Kelsey, Yukon, and Cooper, and one great-grandchild Holly. She was also the sister of the late Roger and John Dibasco, Jeannine Lapierre, Rina Beaulieu, and Pauline Rondeau.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Manville. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-7 PM.
