Bernard M. Reed, of Plymouth formerly of Kingston, died on March 30th at the Jordan Hospital at the age of 79. He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn (Pavesi) of Plymouth, his daughter Shelley Smith and her husband Richard of Plymouth and cherished grandson Ian Smith. He also leaves his brother John Reed of Cumberland, RI. He was the brother of the late Robert, William and Richard.
Bernard was born in Wareham and attended the Campbell Business School. He was a claims adjudicator for the Department of Employment Security. Bernard served in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Plymouth on Thursday, April 4th at 11 AM, leaving from the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 327 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
