VERNON ROBERT “BOB” THOMPSON, 90, passed away on April 1, 2013.
He was a plumbing contractor and the owner and operator of Valley Service and an Army veteran of WW II and Korea where he served his country with honor and distinction.
Survivors include his children, Michael M. Thompson (Debbie) and Letty Diana Newton (Bud Baird); grandchildren, Joshua Thompson(Stacey) and Beau Newton; great grandchildren, Hadley, Max and Jack; his sister, Doris Anz; half-sister, Sharon; life-long friend, Norma Schultz; and former son-in-law, Stanley Newton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. Wednesday.
