MRS. ELSIE LEE WHEATLEY
EVANS – Mrs. Elsie Lee Wheatley, 84, beloved wife of the late Edward Franklin Wheatley, entered into rest on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wheatley was a Christian woman who was a loving and giving mother to her five children. She worked at J.B. Whites in National Hills and Ruben’s Department Store as a sales representative before retiring.
She is survived by her children, Kay Buck (Jim) of Hilton Head, S.C., Lee Wheatley (Marilyn) of Evans, GA., Joyce McIntosh (Mac) of Martinez, GA., and Sam Wheatley (Gaby) of Hilton Head. She is also survived by a brother, Herbert Carl Lee Jr. (Jessie) of Hephzibah, and a sister, Edna Menhorn (Gene) of Zanesville, Ohio, as well as her grandchildren, Amy Shippy (Robert), Ben Collins, Jonathan Buck, Ellie Collins, Gail Watts (Brent), Kelsie Cato (Adam), Megan Brosch (Paul), Samantha Wheatley, Virginia Bethune (Travis) and Caroline White (Billy), in addition to ten great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Franklin Wheatley, a son, Dan Wheatley, a brother, Leonard Lee, and two sisters, Leona Creech and Ellen Rankin.
