Mrs. Beverly Judith (Gosse) Gillis, age 70, died suddenly April 1, 2013, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Arlington, Beverly was the devoted daughter of the late Alyce M. (Colby) & Charles W. Gosse.
Beverly was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School. She was a Woburn resident for the last 35 years. She was a homemaker who cared for many foster children for over 35 years. She cared deeply for her family and her many dear friends, especially her loving grandchildren. Beverly enjoyed playing bingo and also taking the occasional trip to Foxwoods casino.
She was the beloved wife of Francis L. Gillis. Devoted mother of Charles Gillis and his wife Sheila of Tyngsboro, Gary Ring of FL, Amanda Gillis of Woburn and Alyson Gillis of Tewksbury. Loving Grandmother of Charles, Chelsea, Grace and Aubrey. Sister of Joan Chandler of PA, her late husband Vernon, Shirley Corcoran and her husband William of Stoneham, Janet Smith and her husband Frederick of Tewksbury, Charlene Currie and her husband James of Dedham, the late William Gosse, his wife Marie of Tewksbury, and the late Warren Gosse. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends and especially the late Geraldine Zaniboni.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN Thursday, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 60 Forest Park Rd. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 thru 8. Interment will be private.
