TAUNTON – Mariana (Silva) Vieira, wife of Antonio Vieira of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on March 31, 2013.
She was 64.
Born, raised and educated in Terceira, Azores, she was the daughter of Maria C. (Costa) Silva of Taunton, and the late Raul Silva.
Mrs. Vieira left the Azores in 1969 and settled in Falmouth.
A Taunton resident since 1974, she worked in area factories, retiring from Esterline Technologies Corporation several years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Church, and member of the Holy Ghost Society of East Taunton.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Vieira leaves a daughter, Teresa Janeiro and her husband Christopher of Taunton; two brothers, Zeferino and Abel L. Silva, both of Taunton; two grandchildren, Megan and Sean Freitas, both of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Jose Lourenco.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, April 4th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, North Dighton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m.
