Paul E. Eagan Jr, of Plymouth formerly of Duxbury, died on March 29th at the Jordan Hospital at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife Karen (Caruso) and his 2 daughters Jennifer Eagan of Weymouth and Amanda Russo of Walpole. He also leaves his sister Rosemary Heffernan of Plymouth and his 3 granddaughters Sophia Eagan and Isabella and Ava Russo.
Paul was born in Boston, son of the late Paul and Margaret (Dwyer) Eagan. He was a 1965 graduate of Providence College where he received his Bachelor’s degree and he received his Masters degree from Suffolk University. Paul was a pension administrator for John Hancock, where he worked for over 20 years. He was a model train enthusiast and was a member and past treasurer of the Cape Cod Model Railroad Club. Paul also enjoyed music and was a long time member of the O’Reilly Brothers Irish Group where he played banjo and guitar, though his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Tuesday, April 2nd from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at St. Peter’s Church at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the Peter J. Heffernan Jr. Scholarship, c/o Hanover Permanent Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 67, Hanover, MA 02339.
