Dolores D. (Tanso) Konick, of Medford formerly of the West End, died peacefully at home in the company of her loving family. She was 85.
Mrs. Konick was born in Boston’s West End, the daughter of the late Patrick and Theresa (Giose) Tanso. A Medford resident for many years, Dolores was devoted to her family. She assisted her husband, Hank, in the operation of his tavern, Ye Olde Province Tavern, in Downtown Boston. The family ran the establishment until 2000, when they retired.
The beloved wife of the late Henry “Hank” Konick, Dolores was a devoted mother to Stephen Konick of Medford, Robert Konick of Tewksbury, Teresa Glines of Medford and the late Ronald Konick. She was a loving grandmother to Stephen Glines, Shannon Glines, Tiffany Konick, Ronald Konick and a loving great-grandmother to Skyla and Frankie. She was the dear sister of Patrick Tanso, the late Mary Laiosa and Robert Tanso.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday, April 2 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 – 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
