WEBSTER – Beatrice P. (Jalbert) Lavallee, 70, of 12 Valley Street, died Friday, July 30, at home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Richard T. Lavallee; a son and his wife, Steven R. and Dori A. Lavallee, Sr. of Webster; 2 daughters, Anita L. and her husband Carl W. Wilson of Oxford, and Lisa A. Jolie of Sturbridge; a brother, Norman E. Jalbert of Webster; 6 grandchildren, Bradford, Brent, Emily, Alex, Steven Jr. and Victoria; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Grace Jolie in 2001, and by her son-in-law, Raymond Jolie in 2004.
She was born in Webster, daughter of Ovila E. and Olympe M. (Plasse) Jalbert and was a lifelong resident. She completed the commercial course at Sainte Anne’s School, as well as the course of studies at Temple Emanuel Braille School in Worcester.
Mrs. Lavallee was a dedicated wife and mother. She was the bookkeeper for Chagnon’s Auto Service in Dudley for many years, retiring in 1994. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and its Ladies of Sainte Anne. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
The funeral will be held Monday, August 2, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 1, in the funeral home.
