John J. Ebrecht of Reading passed away on Thursday July 29, 2004 at Tewksbury Hospital. He was 87 years of age.
Born in Somerville, John was the son of the late Fremont Ebrecht and Josephine (Donovan) Ebrecht. John was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.
John was a retired lieutenant from the Somerville Fire Department. During World War II, John proudly served our country in the United States Coast Guard.
John was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (Walsh) Ebrecht. He was the devoted father of John Ebrecht and his wife Lynn of Woburn, James Ebrecht and his wife Sally of Georgia, William Ebrecht and his wife Joanne of Reading, Louise Cecchini and her husband Robert of North Reading, Carol Ebrecht of Nevada and Elizabeth Morelle and her husband Christopher of Sutton. John was the cherished grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 5. He was the dear brother of Dorothy Regan, William Ebrecht, Rita Peterson and Thomas Ebrecht.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Anthony’s Church 851 Main St. Woburn at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Monday 4-8pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
