Obituary

AGAWAM – Loretta C. (Tetreault) Rojko, 89, of Agawam and a longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born at home on Grattan Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on November 28, 1923, a beloved daughter of the late Edgar and Eva (Vincent) Tetreault. She was raised in Aldenville and graduated from Saint Joan of Arc Elementary School. She later lived in Easthampton, Holyoke and Greenfield before moving to Agawam in 2008. She was employed for many years at the Philip Hano Company in Holyoke and Springfield before retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church in Greenfield. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Walter “Rocky” Rojko who was Called Home on November 17, 2000. She leaves her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen M. Newman and her husband, Robert, of Agawam; her two cherished grandchildren, Anthony R. Newman and his wife, Anne, of West Springfield and Elisa M. Newman of Agawam; her cherished great-granddaughter, Mackenzie M. Vincelette; her dear brother, Harvey Roger Tetreault of South Hadley; her dear sisters, Jeannette Guevin of Holyoke and Theresa Mascaro of Florence, MA; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear sister and dear brothers, Rose Alice Kravitz, George Tetreault and Charles Edward Tetreault. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
