Almeda V. (Zula) Foderaro, 83, of North Andover, formerly of Methuen, died peacefully Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Almeda was born in Lawrence on August 22, 1929, daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Dwoske) Zula. She graduated from Lawrence High School and received her Bachelors Degree from Fisher College. For many years prior to her retirement, Almeda worked for Verizon prior to her retirement.
Almeda attended St. Monica’s Church in Methuen. She volunteered at Lawrence General Hospital for many years, accruing over 10,000 volunteer hours and was former President of the Italian Women’s Club. She was a member of St. Anne’s Lithuanian Society and along with her husband, enjoyed their beach home at Salisbury for many years.
Almeda will be deeply missed by her son, James Foderaro and his wife Lisa of Salisbury and her granddaughter, Mattison Foderaro of Salisbury. Her beloved husband, Vincent Foderaro, died in 1987.
A calling hour will be held in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 9-10 AM. A service in the funeral home will immediately follow at 10 AM. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
