Obituary

Ruth E. Morrow, of Brockton, a Native American, formerly of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Saturday July 24, 2004. She was 81 years old.

Born February 2, 1923, in Stoughton, She was a lifelong resident until she moved to Brockton some 8 years ago. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Daniel Croud and the late Mrs. Ruth Croud.

She attended Stoughton Public Schools.

She was employed as a Seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union in the Brockton area and retired in the 1980’s. She was also past president of the ILGWU of Boston .

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Stoughton.

She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She is survived by Mrs. Jean E. Williams and her husband Alden both of Hanover, Mrs. Karen R. Tucker and her husband Thomas, both of Stoughton and was also the special aunt to the late Jacqueline A. Worden. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews.

At the familys request, visiting hours are omitted and the interment will be private.

A memorial service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held on Friday July 30, 2004 at 10 AM in the First United Methodist Church, 109 Pleasant Street (Off Rt. 139), Stoughton , with the Reverend Dr. Henry K. James, pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Home For Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Avenue, Boston,MA 02115, in Ruth’s memory, would be appreciated.
