Maria C. (Leite) Farias, age 88 of Fall River, passed away March 27, 2013. Born in Ponta Garça, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of the late Joseph Farias and the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria Isabel Leite. She was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her children: Joseph M., Gene L., Antone, & John Farias all of Fall River; a sister: Mariana Rei of Cranston, RI; grandchildren: Daniel & Michael Bittner of FL and Timothy & Antone Farias of Swansea; several nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Maria C. Bittner and the sister of the late Manuel Pedro Leite.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on MONDAY here at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours on SUNDAY 6-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
