John F. “Jack” O’Callaghan, 69, a long-time resident of Winchester, passed away March 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband for 42 years of Mary Ann (Gibson) O’Callaghan. Born in Medford, Jack was the son of the late Leonard B. and Priscilla A. (French) O’Callaghan.
In Winchester, Jack was active in Little League baseball as his children were growing up. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, particularly in the United States. Golf was his passion, and he enjoyed membership at Meadow Brook Golf Club in Reading, where he was a member of the Board of Directors. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Veteran Association of the Lawrence Light Guard of Medford. Jack was also a great cook, loved following collegiate sports and spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jack B. O’Callaghan and his wife Katie, and Kelly Ann O’Callaghan, both of Medford. He was also the dear brother of Bevan O’Callaghan and his wife Connie of West Palm Beach, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Mon., April 1st at 10AM in St. Raphael Church, 516 High St., Medford, followed by a reception at Meadow Brook Golf Club, 292 Grove St., Reading.
