Dorothy W. Heywood,94, of Pine Hill Road, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at RI Hospital. She was the widow of Johnston Deputy Police Chief Howard L. Heywood.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Walter B. and Maude B. (Williams) Coffin. She was a lifelong resident of Johnston.
She enjoyed knitting and was an officer of the Belknap Church.
She is survived by her children: Sandra Dennehy and her husband, Donald, Howard Heywood and his wife, Janice, and Marsha Czubak and her husband, David, all of Johnston, her seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 9am in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice
