Haverhill, MA – Mary A. (Dudley) Antonelli, 99, died Monday at
Penacook Place Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born on January 25, 1914 in the family home on Woodrow Avenue
in Haverhill. She was the daughter of the late Alonzo P. and Jane
Lavinia (Brine) Dudley.
Mary was a natural leader with a lively intellect and a gracious
manner. Throughout her life she applied her energy and skills to
promoting her favorite social, charitable and political causes. She
was a member of the Haverhill Women’s Republican Club and Essex County
Women’s Club. She served as the Vice President of the Women’s
Republican Club of Massachusetts and was a delegate to national
conventions. She was a member of the Protestant Guild for the Blind,
the Catholic Daughters of America and the Foster Parents of America.
The widow of Carl J. Antonelli Sr, survivors include one son Carl J.
Antonelli, Jr of Lakeland, Florida, grandchildren Dina and Danny
Antonelli and great-grandchildren Dante and Arianna Antonelli and
Sydney and Latisha Derepentigny, all of Haverhill. She also leaves
several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and
her siblings Elizabeth A. Rogers and Eugene C. Dudley.
Mary was an attendant of Saint Monica and Saint James Church. Mass of
Christian burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in
Saint Monica’s Chapel with burial to follow in the Immaculate
Conception Cemetery of Lawrence.
Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday morning from 8:00 A.M. –
9:45 A.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street
in Methuen.
