Doris A. McParland, 60, of Natick died Monday, March 25, 2013 surrounded by family at her home.
A Natick resident for 59 years she was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mildred D. (Ford) McParland.
Doris was an Executive Assistant for 39 years with Verizon Communications, formerly New England Telephone, where she made lasting friendships. She retired in January 2013.
Doris was a devout Catholic and lifetime member of St Patrick Parish in Natick.
Doris attended the Natick School system and was a graduate of Natick High School, class of 1971.
She cherished her time spent with her family and had a special closeness with her nieces and their children. She also enjoyed going to the theatre, travel, and summers on Cape Cod with her family and friends.
Doris is survived by her brothers Gerard F. McParland and his wife Linda A. of Natick, Stephen M. McParland and his wife Beth F. of Boston, and predeceased by her brother Charles A. McParland Jr., her nieces Kathleen A. Marchand and her husband Shane W. of Natick, their son, Griffin C.; Colleen M. Cotter and her husband William T. of Natick, their children, Charles M., Joshua P., and Sydney L.; and dear close friends Maureen Lindsey of Douglas and Eileen Conlin of Natick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, April 2, at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Monday, April 1, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
