LOWELL: Shirley A. (Pacheco) Hanson, age 58, a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell for 37 years, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was the wife of Dana M. Hanson, Jr. with whom she would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 8th.
Born in Lowell on April 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Manuel E. and Emma L. (Corlin) Pacheco.
Mrs. Hanson was raised in Billerica.
She attended Billerica schools and graduated from Billerica High School in 1963.
Following graduation, she was married and moved to Lowell.
Prior to her illness, she was employed by Scully Signals Company of Wilmington. Mrs. Hanson previously worked for 26 years at Wang Laboratories in Tewksbury and Lowell.
She enjoyed many activities including camping and fishing at Sebago Lake in Maine, frequenting Foxwood’s Casino & Resort with her sisters and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 1 daughter; Robin L. Craven and her husband Joseph of Lowell; 2 sons; Dana M. Hanson, III and his wife Tracy of Tewksbury and Jason W. Hanson of Lowell; 2 sisters; Mary Sousa and her husband Robert of Nashua, NH and Carole J. Corbin of Salem, NH; 2 brothers; Robert Pacheco of Pelham, NH and Gilbert Pacheco of Pennsylvania; 2 sisters-in-law; Brenda Pacheco and Pauline Pacheco both of Pelham, NH; 5 grandchildren; Eric M. and Nicholas B. Hanson, Jill M. Regan, Maddison E. and Rylie M. Craven.
Mrs. Hanson was the sister of the late John, Donald and Richard Pacheco.
At her request there are NO Calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, July 31st at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 144 E. Merrimack St., Lowell. Cremation at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Soc., 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 are suggested.
