Obituary

Paul Whelton, 63, passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2013 in Beverly Hospital. He was the loving husband of Karen (Petersen) Whelton with whom he shared 30 years of marriage.
Born in Boston on February 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary (Woods) Whelton. Paul was raised and educated in Goffstown, New Hampshire and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School. He had resided in Danvers for the past 25 years. Paul was the owner and operator of On the Go Mobile Oil Change for 18 years.
Besides his wife of Karen, he is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Whelton of Boston and Christine Lattuada and her husband Daniel of Bridgewater, a granddaughter Ainsley Anne Lattuada, four brothers, Justin, Michael, Vincent, Brian Whelton and his wife Kathy, two sisters, Mary Ricker and her companion Al Borque, and Claire Grosso, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Daniel Whelton and Louise Whelton.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Paul’s name to 90.9 WBUR at wbur.org- Boston's NPR news station, which gave him countless hours of enjoyment.
