Obituary

H. Marie “Honey” (Belcher) Williams, age 84, of Taunton, formerly of West Bridgewater, died peacefully March 24, 2013 at Southeast Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of Marlborough “Mal” F. Williams, whom she married in 1949 at St. Edward’s Church. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Elwyn and Mary (Doyle) Belcher. Marie was a 1946 graduate of Brockton High School and for many years had been employed as a bookkeeper for various companies, and retired from Bettencourt’s in West Bridgewater.

During the last six years she and her husband made their home with their beloved grandson Mark Famularo and his cherished wife Dawn and their children Meaghan and Adam in Taunton. Previously she lived in Matfield Woods where she was the Secretary of the Matfield Woods Association; on the Board in every capacity, and served as President for three years. She was also active in the “Follies” Musical Productions. Marie who was known for her smile, warmth, giving personality and devotion to her home and family, will be remembered and missed by many.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her beloved son Brian F. Williams of Dedham; a much loved daughter Kimberly M. Houghton and her husband Richard of Swansea; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday in the funeral home at 10am, followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
