SALEM- Lois E. Mansfield, 78, of Salem, died Monday morning, July 26, 2004 at the Lafayette Convalescent Home, Marblehead, following a long illness.
Born in Laconia, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lois (Packard) Mansfield.
Prior to her retirement in the early 1990's, she was employed for over 10 years in the offices at Salem State College. She also worked as a ticket taker for the magic shows at the Cabot Cinema in Beverly.
A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a graduate of Salem High School, she graduated from North Shore Community College in Beverly and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Salem State College. She was a member of the former Lafayette Street United Methodist Church and the Wesley United Methodist Church, Salem. She loved to read. She was creative in sketching and writing, especially poems, and she enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary E. Fuller, Patricia I. “Pat” Scialdone & David Gannon III, all of Salem, one son, Francis E. Fuller, Jr. of River Grove, Illinois, three grandchildren, Alicia Fuller, Trynda and her husband Dennis Condo and Chad Gannon, all of Salem, three great grandchildren, Joseph, Shannon and Nicholas Condo, all of Salem, two brothers and sisters-in-law, John M. and Margaret “Maggie” Mansfield of Harrison, Maine, Howard and Annette Mansfield of Hicksville, New York, one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and John Draper of Brewster and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. G. Kenneth Steigler, Pastor of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Salem will officiate at her funeral service to be held Friday, July 30, 2004 at 7:30 PM in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
