James Robert "Bob" Raper

James Robert "Bob" Raper, 92, of Anderson died on March 23, 2013 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus following an extended illness.
He was born on May 26, 1920 in Anderson to Ora and Nellie (Morris) Raper.
He was employed as a tool inspector at Delco Remy for 42 years and retired in 1982.
He was a charter member at Mounds Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing the organ, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Debby Barnes and Teri (husband, Jon) Burk both of Chesterfield; brother, George Raper of Anderson; 3 grandchildren, Wendy (Jason) Engle of Chesterfield, Kim (Nate) Daniel of Muncie, and Karen (Scott) Weaver of Ohio; 5 great-grandchildren, Benjamin Engle, Bryce Weaver, Rylee Weaver, Kerrigan Weaver, and Brody Daniel; special loving companion, Dolly Sizelove of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Dick Raper and Jack Raper; Sister, Phyllis Bannon; grandson, Andy Barnes
Services will be on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 1:00pm Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Jeff Hardin officiating. The burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Pointe Health Campus or Southern Care Hospice.
