Mary Virgil “Granny” McDaniel Anderson, 86, of Warner Robins, formerly of Albany, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Ronald Parks will officiate with burial to follow in Kimball Cemetery in Anderson City (Worth County). Jim Motes, Bruce Helton, Dalton Parkerson, Terry Bruner, Timothy Bruner and Johnny Parkerson, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Anderson was born on July 5, 1926 in Sycamore (Turner County) and was the daughter of Archie V. McDaniel and Mary Pierce McDaniel, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Anderson; two sons, Olonzo Pritchard and Alton Anderson; and five sisters. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith. She was a great lover of cats and cared for many through the years. She was very loved by her family and friends.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by one daughter, Carol Rowan-Campos of Warner Robins; one grandson, Roger Howell, Jr. of Warner Robins; one granddaughter, Rebecca Bruner and eight other grandchildren; two adopted sons, Jim Motes and Bruce Helton; a daughter-in-law, Donna Flack-Wells; and numerous great-grandchildren.
