Madlyn Marie Peterson, 80, passed away March 20, 2013, at her home in Humarock, MA.
Visitation will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield, on March 26, 2013, 9:30 – 10:30 AM.
Funeral service will be held at Saint Ann's By the Sea, 591 Ocean Street in Marshfield, on March 26, 2013 at 11:00 am.
Madlyn was born in Mantador, ND, to John and Cecilia Poster on April 5, 1932. She attended high school at Saint Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND, and graduated in 1949. In 1955 she married Irvin (Bud) Peterson, with whom she raised five children. They were married for 56 years and lived in several US cities and in Germany, eventually settling in Needham, MA and Humarock – the place she came to love the most. She was devout Catholic, a devoted mother and a proud and beloved grandmother.
Madlyn is preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and sisters, husband Bud, son David, son-in-law Stephen Boyd and grandson Jim.
Madlyn is survived by her son Daniel of Grafton, MA; son Brian and his wife Lisa of Coventry, RI; daughter Kathleen Boyd of Marshfield, MA; daughter Roberta Downing and her husband Steven of Marstons Mills, MA; and grandchildren Brian, Shelby, William, Zachary and Nicholas.
