Catherine F. (Slowey) Raynard, 91 years old, of Brockton died Wednesday March 20, 2013 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late J. Edward Raynard for 63 years. Born May 19, 1921 in Brockton, she was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Card) Slowey. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she attended and graduated from Brockton High School and Brockton Business School. For many years she was the secretary for Sanitary Chemical Service in Brockton and for Nancy Bradford Dance School where she was fondly known as “Miss Catherine’.
Catherine was the devoted mother of Mary Ann Albert and her husband Charles of Brockton, Sheila Fox and her husband Laurence of Brockton; loving grandmother of Denise Analoro, Peter Albert, Melissa Torrey, Jennifer Emmett, Jeffrey Albert, Rachel Fletcher and Danielle Lanzillo; great grandmother of Jessica, Charles and Cole Analoro, Jeremy, Kayla and Richard Torrey, Dominic and Noah Emmett, Maxwell, Joshua and Eloise Albert, Blake Fletcher and Riley Lanzillo; sister of Robert Slowey of W. Bridgewater, Richard Slowey of Monument Beach and the late Mary Anderson, Thomas Slowey, Lorraine Lynch, John and Charles Slowey. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Friday 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 8am followed by a funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
