Mary Louise Graham, age 85, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born August 5, 1927 in Coffeeville, MS to the late John Edward and Myrtle Jones Byford. Louise worked for many years in the cafeteria of Coffeeville Schools. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, sewing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a former member of Clear Springs Baptist Church and later attended Calvary Baptist Church of Coffeeville, MS.
Visitation is planned for Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. James West officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Linda Sims of Water Valley, MS; her sister, Nancy Fly of Cascilla, MS; three brothers, James Byford (Mary), Edward Byford (Jo Anne) and John C. Byford (Louise) all of Coffeeville, MS; three grandchildren, Jay Sims (Laura) of Jackson, MS, Shena Lovern (Ron) of Jackson, MS, and Tammy (Rob) Glazier of Greenwood, MS; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Spurgeon; her son, Thomas Lynn Spurgeon; and a brother, Charles Ray Byford.
