Loving husband of Irene MacEachern Toma; father of Therese (Mike) Edlin, Mark Toma, Diane Toma, Jeff (Fran) Toma, and the late David Toma; granddaughter, Errin Toma; brother, Ghanim Toma; sisters, Madeleine Stephan and Samira Bodagh. He was a scientist for the U.S. Government, having made contributions in the area of Mine Safety technology, Black Lung prevention, and X-Ray technology. He was a graduate of Boston College and the University of Notre Dame.
