BELCHERTOWN – Jane B. (Roy) Tomlinson, 81, of Belchertown, was Called Safely Home on Monday, March 18, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born at home on Chicopee Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee on October 4, 1931, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph W. and Emma (Dauphinais) Roy. She was raised on Trilby Avenue in the Aldenville section of the city and also lived in the Willimansett section of the city for many years. She later lived for over 42 years in Granby and moved to Belchertown in 2005. She was employed for over 25 years at the former Sample Durick Company in Chicopee, which later became Champion Packaging and later became the Rock-Tenn Company. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Irvin W. “Sonny” Tomlinson. They were married on March 10, 1951 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville and were blessed with 62 years of happiness together. She also leaves: her five loving children, Debra E. Carey and her husband, Steve, of Belchertown, Gary M. Tomlinson of Ludlow, Erin L. Brault of Chicopee, Brenda R. Huard and her husband, Daniel, of Southampton and Craig M. Tomlinson and his wife, Lori, of Granby; her 11 cherished grandchildren, Timothy Carey and his wife, Nancy, Michelle Cayo and her husband, Ed, Lance Tomlinson, Joseph Brault, Sara Brault and her partner, Edwin Garcia, Tanyelle Duchesne and her husband, Ben, Nathan Huard, Rebecca Huard and her fiancé, Jesse Noel, Robert Tomlinson, Bethany Tomlinson and her partner, Victor English and Steven Tomlinson; her seven cherished great-grandchildren, Erica Wilson, Jillian Carey, Lynia Ramos, Edwin Garcia, Jr., Kaylah Duchesne, Khloe Duchesne and Victor English, Jr.; her dear sisters, Loraine Breault of Chicopee and Eunice Black of Florida; her dear sisters-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Roy of Chicopee and Eleanor Desautels of Palmer; her dear cousins, Linda Zajczkowski of Belchertown and Brother Charles Leo, S.C. of Pasco, RI; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by: her cherished great grandson, Nicholas Cayo, who was Called Home on December 15, 2012; her dear brother, Joseph Roy; and her dear sisters, Phyllis Skoczylas and Carol Roy. Her relatives and friends are invited to a Service of Committal on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
