TAUNTON… Gary Lee Walker, 68, of Taunton, formerly of Medford, passed away after a brief illness Sunday March 17, 2013 at Morton Hospital.
He was the spouse of Nancy (Stivers) Walker of Taunton.
He was born in Rose Hill, Iowa a son of the late Orris and Viva (Stanley) Walker and had lived Taunton for the past five years.
He worked at John Hancock Life Insurance for 30 years and also been employed at Trucchi’s Market in Taunton for 6 years.
He served in The United States Army during Vietnam Conflict and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose at Malden Lodge #1910.
Survivors include his Wife, a Daughter: Deborah Viveiros of Raynham, 2 Brothers: Larry Walker of Las Vegas, NV and Rick Walker of Kentucky, 2 Sisters: Shirley Snyder and Beverly Walker both of Las Vegas, NV, 2 Grandchildren: Collene Sweeney of Chelmsford, MA and Rebecca Sweeney of Raynham, MA.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 10AM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street Fall River, MA. At the request of the family Interment will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM.
