Constance S. (Duval) Valery, age 89, of Brockton, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Valery. Born, raised and educated in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Marie (Lambert) Duval. Constance was generous in giving of her time and energy. For nearly 40 years and 30,000 volunteer hours, she drove a van and sponsored ward parties for the veterans of the Brockton Veterans Administration Hospital. For many years, she enjoyed playing Mahjong at the Bridgewater Senior Center, and also enjoyed time with her family, grandchildren, knitting, and crocheting.
She is survived by her three children Ronald Valery and his wife Nancy of CA, Suzanne Valery of CA and Robert Valery and his wife Janet of Plymouth; three grandchildren Kyle Valery and his wife Nassim, Craig Valery and Brandon Valery; two brothers Larry Duval of Springfield and Richard Duval of Brimfield and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roger and Lionel Duval.
Visitation for family and close friends will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
